On Sunday, March 9, 2014, thousands of runners will navigate their way from Downtown LA to Santa Monica in the 29th annual LA Marathon. The 2014 Asics LA Marathon will take runners from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean. Runners will pass many of LA’s world‐famous landmarks along the way, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, TCL Chinese Theatre, the Sunset Strip, Rodeo Drive and the Santa Monica Pier. Reflecting its status as a premier race, The Stadium to the Sea course is considered one of the most scenic in the world.

Following its cross-country flight from Florida, and a two-day trek through the streets of Los Angeles, the U.S. Space Shuttle Endeavour is ready to call the California Science Center home.  On Oct. 30, the Samuel Oschin Space Shuttle Endeavour Display Pavilion at the California Science Center will open to the public, offering guests a chance to view the shuttle up close.

On Sept. 6, shopping centers, department stores and boutiques all around Los Angeles celebrated the fashion industry by participating in the fourth annual Fashion’s Night Out, a worldwide shopping event created by Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. Lucky for visitors to Los Angeles, fashion can be found everyday in LA…especially at the Los Angeles Fashion District featuring the latest trends in fashion from LA’s up-and-coming designers. The LA Fashion District is comprised of more than 1,000 stores located in 90 blocks in Downtown Los Angeles. Some of the highlights are Santee Alley, The European Corridor, The Intersection and the Menswear District. You'll find everything from tuxedos to hip jeans to lingerie, so get ready for a shopping adventure. Olvera Street, the site where the City of Los Angeles was founded, is the annual site of the Las Posadas procession, which reenacts the journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve.
