Greetings,

Here at L.A. Tourism we are gearing up for fall programs and events taking place across the city. We continue to see growth within our overnight and visitation numbers and are hoping for another boost as we approach the end of the calendar year.

L.A. Tourism recently launched our annual fall program, L.A. Museum Season. This program allows travelers staying in participating hotels to explore many cultural institutions for free and take advantage of exciting discounts at museum stores. Los Angeles is home to 105 museums and counting, making L.A. Museum Season the ideal way for visitors to experience the many influential institutions that make up the arts and culture community.

In November, we are very excited our own Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro has been selected for the Tourism Cares for Los Angeles project. The Tourism Cares organization, which brings together members of the tourism industry to restore destinations and ensure the best travel experience for visitors, will be gather nearly 300 volunteers for this three-day event.  Volunteers will be coming from all over the country will be restoring naval treasures and notable tourist attractions along the L.A. waterfront including Battleship Iowa, S.S. Lane Victory and Catalina Island.

We are well on our way to hitting our goal of 50 million by 2020, and are looking forward to finishing the year in a big way!

Best wishes,
Ernest Wooden Jr.
