GQ Magazine Calls Downtown L.A. “America’s Coolest New Downtown”

GQ magazine published a lengthy article in its January 2014 issue proclaiming “America’s Next Great City is Inside L.A.” about Downtown’s remarkable revival into one of the most exciting, cosmopolitan neighborhoods in the country. The article called Downtown L.A. “America’s Coolest New Downtown” for its restaurant and bar scene, and the eclectic mix of creative lofts, stylish hotels, museums, galleries, nightlife, ultra-hip shops, and urban vibe. Food & Wine Magazine Calls L.A. “America’s Best New Food City”

Food & Wine Magazine named Los Angeles “America’s Best New Food City” in a 14-page article in its March 2014 issue covering 12 of Los Angeles’ most talked-about restaurants. The article called out L.A.’s “serious global cuisine” and gave accolades to Downtown L.A.’s hot new restaurants. To see the article, click here.

Los Angeles Listed Among Best Large Cities for Public Transit

Los Angeles was listed among the 10 best large cities in America for public transit by Walk Score, a website promoting walkable neighborhoods. Walk Score calculated the Transit Score for 316 cities and almost 7,000 neighborhoods in the U.S. based on residents’ access to public transit. In recent years, Los Angeles has seen a dramatic expanse in the subway and light rail network, with more expansions and new lines on the way. To see the story, click here.

L.A. Tourism Rolls Out Major New Marketing Campaign

In March 2014, L.A. Tourism rolled out its new integrated marketing campaign, “What's Your L.A. Story,” in L.A.’s most important domestic feeder markets such as New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego and Phoenix, as well as its key international markets including the U.K., Australia, Canada and China. The campaign features brand new TV, digital and print ads with a fresh new look, featuring stories about the amazing experiences that you can only find in Los Angeles. A companion meetings and conventions ad campaign is up and running in the top meetings trade publications nationwide highlighting L.A. as a leading meetings and conventions destination.
