Visit California International Staff FAM (Dec 8-10)

L.A. Tourism hosted a December FAM for Visit California’s international staff. Visit California brought in the newest members of their international team to train them on Los Angeles’s brand and products. The attendees represented several different departments (Travel Trade, PR and Media) as well as a diverse mix of countries (China, Japan, South Korea and Australia). Their itinerary included visits and activities across Los Angeles. L.A. Tourism would like to thank the following members for their involvement: L.A. Hotel, the GRAMMY Museum, The Farm of Beverly Hills at L.A. LIVE, Warner Bros VIP Studio Tour, the Original Farmers Market, Hotel Erwin, The Lobster and Santa Monica Place. 

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL TRADE FAMS, TRADE SHOWS & EVENTS

Visit California/Air Tahiti Nui FAM (Dec. 1-5)

In partnership with Visit California and Air Tahiti Nui, L.A. Tourism hosted a group of seven product managers who will promote Los Angeles as a destination for French travelers. The group explored Downtown L.A., Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Santa Monica and experienced museums and the newest attractions as well as local hotels. Air Tahiti Nui offers nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Tahiti. 

COMMUNICATIONS

Brand USA Brazil Press Trip: Nov. 17-21

L.A. Tourism, in partnership with Brand USA, hosted the Brand USA Brazil press trip, which included a sunset hike in Griffith Park, a tour of Getty Center, a Laker game and a Venice Beach bike ride. Participating media outlets included Folha de S. Paulo, Correio Braziliense, Viaje na Viagem, Viajar pelo Mundo! and G1. Special thanks to Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills for hosting the group.

United Melbourne Press Trip: Nov. 25-27

In support of the new direct flight between Melbourne and Los Angeles, L.A. Tourism's communications department teamed up with United Airlines to welcome top-tier media from Australia for the United Melbourne press trip. Highlights of the trip included visiting Downtown Los Angeles, Silver Lake and Malibu. Participating media outlets included Vogue Magazine, Get Lost Magazine, The Australian Financial Review and Fairfax Traveller.
