Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (Exposition Park)
LA’s oldest museum in continuous operation, the Natural History Museum, is marking its 100th anniversary with the recent opening of Becoming Los Angeles—a 14,000-sq.-ft. exhibit that pays tribute to LA’s heritage and that explores the natural and cultural history of Southern California.
Also of note is North Campus, a 3.5-acre living wilderness habitat and a scientific hub called the Nature Lab where visitors get up close and personal with LA wildlife and learn the stories of the creatures that share our space.

The Autry National Center (Hollywood)
Celebrating a milestone 25th anniversary, The Autry has brought to life the people, legends, innovators, and spirited thinkers who have called the West home since 1988.
In honor of their silver anniversary, the Autry has launched new permanent exhibits including:
- Art of the West –a dynamic exhibit exploring Western art through the themes of Religion and Ritual, Land and Landscape, Migration and Movement.
- Western Frontiers –an exhibition tracing the history of the West from the opening of the frontier in the early nineteenth century to Western television shows in the latter part of the twentieth century.
- Four Centuries of Pueblo Pottery– Featuring more than 100 pieces of rare ceramics, this exhibition traces the dramatic changes that transformed the Pueblo pottery tradition in the era following sixteenth-century Spanish colonization to the present.

The Getty Center (Brentwood)
Like Rome, the Getty Center wasn’t built in a day. From architect selection to opening, it took 13 years for the Center to emerge from a rough hillside and now boasts 24 acres, a million square feet of buildings, 25 million pounds of steel and 300,000 travertine blocks weighing in at 84 million pounds. This year, the $2.8 billion landmark marks its 15th anniversary with a series of special exhibitions, some of which include:
