What's Coming

This Spring is filled with upcoming programs designed to promote tourism to LA and member networking.

Discover the Arts, March 18 – April 26

The City of Angels is often called many things, but “Creative Capital of the World” will never be more apt than it will over the next 24 months when the destination celebrates numerous milestone anniversaries, special occasions and the much-anticipated openings of new museums. The cultural bonanza kicks-off  from March 18 to April 26 when dozens of LA cultural attractions participate in LA Tourism’s Discover the Arts program with 2-for-1 admissions, discounted show tickets and store discounts.  A special hotel promotion featuring a “book 2 room nights and get a $70 museum package free” offer will be promoted on hotels.com, discoverlosangeles.com and in select markets including San Diego and Orange County. The special package includes two tickets to the Natural History Museum, two tickets to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the California Science Center and two daily Metro passes for museum-hopping. National Travel & Tourism Week: May 4 - 12

The U.S. Travel Association’s Annual Salute to Travel and Tourism in America

The first full week of May is annually recognized by the U.S. Travel Association as National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), a tradition first celebrated in 1984.  From May 4 – 12, cities, states and travel businesses are encouraged to celebrate the power of travel.  LA Tourism is currently planning several activities to highlight the impact of travel to the Los Angeles economy and to thank the more than 380,000 workers who play a role in driving our destination’s tourism engine.  Details on how you can become involved in these local activities will be shared in the weeks ahead.  U.S. Travel has recently made planning resources including logos, graphics and talking available in the online NTTW toolkit.
