NATIONAL TRAVEL & TOURISM WEEK: MAY 4 - 12
THE U.S. TRAVEL ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL SALUTE TO TRAVEL AND TOURISM IN AMERICA
The first full week of May is annually recognized by the U.S. Travel Association as National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), a tradition first celebrated in 1984. From May 4 – 12, cities, states and travel businesses are encouraged to celebrate the power of travel. LA Tourism has several exciting activities planned to highlight the impact of travel to the Los Angeles economy and to thank the more than 380,000 workers who play a role in driving our destination’s tourism engine. There are several ways you can get involved. U.S. Travel has recently made planning resources including logos, graphics and talking points available in the online NTTW toolkit.

LA Tourism is leading the way for LA’s National Tourism Week celebrations with a Membership Breakfast on Rally Day, Tuesday, May 7. We are inviting all LATCB members to join us and LA Tourism CEO & President Ernie J. Wooden, Jr. for breakfast on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 am at Center at the Cathedral in Downtown. The Breakfast will give us a chance to show our appreciation for all of our members and the crucial role they play in supporting LA’s economy and cultural life, and offer our members a valuable opportunity to learn about some of LA Tourism’s future plans.
