For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (@discoverLA) has partnered with the Getty (@TheGetty) to provide locals and visitors a very unique opportunity. As a part of L.A. Tourism’s #LAstory campaign encouraging people to use social media to share their Los Angeles experiences, select work featured on @discoverLA will be digitally displayed at the Getty during a Saturdays Off the 405 event in July.

L.A. Tourism is displaying the user-generated artwork (painting, photo and :15 video) every night on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to more than 1.2 million people. Social media users can submit their work to the virtual gallery by hashtagging #LAstory or via email (lastory@discoverLA.com).

More than 100,000 photos have been tagged #LAstory since the campaign began last year, generating more than 30 million social impressions and 15 million engagements (likes and comments).

Saturdays Off the 405 is an outdoor evening concert series every summer at the Getty Center, featuring performances by up-and-coming bands along with DJ sets. The series kicks off Saturday, May 16, with the duo Cathedrals, followed by Shannon and the Clams on June 20. The date of #LAstory showcase at the Getty Center has not yet been announced.
