Clifton's Cafeteria
In the ‘20s and ‘30s, there were more than a dozen cafeterias downtown, but only Clifton’s remains. The national park décor was inspired by the original owner’s trips to the Brookdale Lodge in the Santa Cruz Mountains. An old school cafeteria dominates proceedings, but the five-level space recenetly completed a makeover from The Edison owner Andrew Meieran, who added multiple new bars and a second restaurant upstairs.
Citizen Beverly Hills
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, Citizen is a social dining experience featuring an eclectic American menu from Chef Scott Howard. Seasonal dishes are meant to be shared and the menu encourages guests to craft their own experience. Josh Goldman’s bar program draws inspiration from iconic 1960s Americana and features transportive tiki cocktails and irreverent straightforward drinks. The interior of the restaurant hints at the rebellious style and glamour of 1960s Beverly Hills. As the former location of celebrity tailor Jack Taylor, the restaurant echoes a bespoke sense of quality that feels suited to every guest. Adding to the atmosphere is a large open-air lounge and fire pit that plays host to the evening’s cocktail party, which starts early and goes all night long.

Pez Cantina the latest project by former Patina Chef and co-founder of Milk on Beverly, Bret Thompson. Located on Bunker Hill Downtown Los Angeles, walking distance from Disney Concert Hall and soon to be open Broad Museum, Pez Cantina is a sustainable Coastal Mexican style restaurant and bar serving the freshest sea to land dishes in an oasis type atmosphere. Inspired by his travels to Loreto, a sleepy fishing town in Baja California Mexico, and his marriage to a Mexican family, Bret captures the complexity and spirit of the food he’s developed a strong love and passion for. Pez Cantina’s menu offers a glimpse of the many distinct regions of Mexico, from Baja to Oaxaca to the Yucatan Peninsula. Items like assorted chili oils, fresh ceviches/cocteles, sizzling meat platters and the crunchiest fish tacos please the senses. A fine-tuned cocktail selection along with a California focused wine list and craft beers from California and Mexico round out the Pez Cantina menu.
