There are lots of Pokémon around the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. There's also a great parallel between Pokémon Go and the museum’s Citizen Science program. It’s essentially the same concept, except Citizen Science encourages participants to find plants and animals to uncover L.A.’s rich biodiversity. It’s like finding Pokémon, but in real life!

Located on Grand Avenue in Downtown L.A., the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) is offering 50% off general admission to the museum for Pokémon Go players.

At a PokeStop, players can collect eggs and Poke Balls to capture more Pokémon. There are three PokeStops at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City. The hotel is offering drink specials for each team in the game: Team Valor (red), Team Mystic (blue) and Team Instinct (yellow). Each drink is priced at $12.

Pokémon have invaded The Garland! Ponyta was spotted galloping near the pool while Executive Chef Larry Greenwood of The Front Yard, The Garland’s neighborhood dining destination, spotted Charmeleon hanging out by the entrance on his way to the restaurant. Pidgey and Duduo have also been spotted at the property. Trainers can test their skills at the Pokémon Go Gym in front of The Front Yard, or load up on extra supplies at the PokéStop located at The Garland fountain.

The Skirball Cultural Center has six PokéStops and one Gym throughout the campus for players to explore. Now through August, tag the Skirball on Instagram in a Pokémon Go spotting for a chance to win museum admission for a group of four. Take advantage of free Thursday admission (noon–5 p.m.) and the free outdoor music series, Sunset Concerts (Thursday nights, July 21 – August 25). Doors open at 7 p.m., the concerts begin at 8 p.m.

Bikes and Hikes LA is offering a Pokémon Bike Rental Special that comes with phone holders so that people can catch more Pokémon. Bikes and Hikes is also offering a group team building challenge.

Located at the historic Santa Monica Pier, Rusty's Surf Ranch is offering a $5 drink special for Pokémon Go Trainers. The Charizard is made with Jack Fire, soda and a splash of lemon. The pier is a Pokemon hotbed! The Pier boasts two Gyms and a stop at the south door of Rusty's Surf Ranch.

Follow a Pokémon Trainer around the 1,000-acre Saddlerock Ranch and Vineyard. Catch 'em all with a stroll through the vineyards and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting. The Pokémon hike is a limited time offering. The hike is approximately two hours. Group hikes from $30 per person. Private hikes from $60 per person and include meeting Stanley the Giraffe. Must be 21 or older.
