April 9: Caroline Kennedy and Eloise Klein Healy
[ALOUD] at Central Library brings together today’s brightest cultural, scientific, and political luminaries with the curious minds of Los Angeles. On Tuesday, April 9th, Caroline Kennedy, editor of eight New York Times bestselling books on American history, politics, law and poetry, discusses her new anthology, Poetry to Live By with Los Angeles’ first Poet Laureate, Eloise Klein Healy.

April 9-14: West Side Story
More than fifty years ago, West Side Story changed theater forever. Now it’s back, and mesmerizing audiences once again for a limited run at the Pantages Theatre. From the first note to the final breath, West Side Story soars as one of the greatest love stories of all time and remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever.
April 12: The Sandlot 20th Anniversary Screening
Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. On Friday, April 12th, it’s boys, baseball and a really big dog, as the Stand By Me of our National Pastime slides into the Cinefamily, in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

April 13: Crosby, Stills & Nash
On Saturday, April 13th, Kristen and Stephen Stills are hosting the Light Up The Blues Concert—An Evening of Music to Benefit Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. The fundraiser, emceed by Jack Black, is taking place at Club Nokia in Downtown. The all-star lineup of performers includes: Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN), Ryan Adams, Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams, Don Felder, Chris Stills, The Miracle Project Fly Singers, plus surprise guests.
April 14: Dapper Jr.
All aboard for a train ride back in time. On Sunday, April 14th, railLA is hosting an all-ages day of dapper festivities on the Metro Rail. Dress up in your fanciest attire and ride your local train down to historic Union Station and enjoy the LA Heritage Foundation's Heritage Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. From there, meet in the Union Station lobby for photos, and then ride the Metro Gold Line to explore Old Town Pasadena. Come for all or part of the day, but be sure to bring your camera!
