It’s the first weekend of dineLA’s Restaurant Week, featuring more than 300 restaurants across LA offering prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. JAN. 25: MUSEUMS FREE-FOR-ALL
On Saturday, Jan. 25, SoCal Museums presents the ninth annual Museums Free-For-All. Twenty local museums - presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history, and science - are opening their doors and inviting visitors free of charge. This offer is for general museum admission only and may not apply to special ticketed exhibitions.
JAN. 25: CHITA RIVERA - VALLEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
On Saturday, Jan. 25, join the 80th birthday celebration of legendary Broadway performer, Chita Rivera at the Valley Performing Arts Center. The unique solo concert event features the two-time Tony Award-winner recreating signature moments from her six-decade career, including numbers from West Side Story; Chicago; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Bye, Bye, Birdie; and more.
JAN. 26: FARMSHOP LA ANNIVERSARY
Farmshop LA is celebrating its anniversary on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Located in the Brentwood Country Mart, Farmshop is clearing out its dining room so guests can meet and taste artisan offerings from visiting food, wine and beer producers. While the restaurant will be closed for dinner during the festivities, the market and bakery will be open, offering Farmshop’s full selection of goods and tasty fried chicken along with an array of sides in the prepared foods case. No reservations needed, just stop by and enjoy!
JAN. 26: THE BANGLES - WHISKY A GO GO
The world-famous Whisky a Go Go continues its month-long 50th anniversary celebration with a concert by The Bangles on Sunday, Jan. 26. The Bangles are a true Los Angeles band - in 1980, LA natives Susanna Hoffs, Vicki Peterson and Debbi Peterson formed the group in the Hoffs family garage in Brentwood. From their early days performing in LA’s Paisley Underground to their multi-platinum hits such as Manic Monday, Walk Like an Egyptian, and Eternal Flame, The Bangles sound better than ever.
