The first ever Hello Kitty Convention is coming to Downtown and Little Tokyo. Use this guide to hotels nearby the main events at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA and the Japanese American National Museum and do some extra exploring while you're visiting.
FEATURED HOTEL: The Line Hotel
The Line Hotel is the official host hotel for the Hello Kitty Convention. The hotel is located in the heart of bustling Koreatown, just three miles from Downtown. The Line Hotel is a Los Angeles collaboration between The Sydell Group, chef Roy Choi, Houston Hospitality, designer Sean Knibb and the art collective, Poketo. The Line’s 388 guestrooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary WiFi, flat screen TV, large work desk, docking station and a media hub. The hotel features an outdoor pool, 24-hour room service, 24-hour fitness center, International Newstand, design boutique, and complimentary Linus bicycles for guests. The Houston brothers bring their craft cocktails and their knack for creating atmospheric, nostalgic spaces to the hotel’s discreet lounge bar. Hop on the Metro at the nearby Normandie stop to make a quick trip to the convention's Downtown venues at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA and the Japanese American National Museum.
Miyako Hotel

Ace Hotel
Opened in January 2014, the Ace Hotel Downtown features 180 rooms, the popular L.A. Chapter restaurant, and a rooftop bar and pool with spectacular panoramic views of the city. The hotel was originally built as the United Artists Building in 1927 and includes incredible architectural detail throughout. Named one of the world’s most anticipated hotel openings of 2014 by CNN Travel, the hotel is the second Ace property in California.
