announced the Spring 2016 arrival of the West Coast’s most anticipated entertainment experience “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” and the introduction of the land’s signature attraction, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” in hyper-realistic 3D-HD. Inspired by J. K. Rowling’s compelling stories and characters and the Warner Bros. films, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” delivers a fully immersive themed land that will bring the Harry Potter series to life with impeccable detail and precision. “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be faithful to the visual landscape of the fiction and films, including Hogwarts castle which will serve as its iconic focal point. Like its counterparts in Orlando and Japan, Hogwarts castle will sit at the heart of the themed land where the signature 3D-HD adventure ride, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™" will make its U.S. debut and take guests on a journey into many memorable scenes alongside Harry, Ron and Hermione. The world will also feature an enchanting family coaster “Flight of the Hippogriff,” food and beverage offerings true to the series and retail shops that will add to the authenticity of the land.

A fresh new experience has arrived at Los Angeles International Airport with the recent completion of Terminal 5, reflecting the style of the city and its travelers. Delta Air Lines unveiled the terminal-wide refurbishment in June, including the airline’s first private check-in lounge, Delta ONE.


Delta ONE provides the most innovative premium check-in experience of any carrier at LAX. Customers flying in Delta One enter the terminal through a dedicated curbside entrance, leading to a private, modern check-in lounge with personalized luggage check, high-design atmosphere, and a refreshment bar. Customers also access a dedicated security checkpoint directly from the Delta ONE at LAX lounge. Additionally, a renovated Sky Club offers more space and an improved customer experience, including 100 additional seats; new shower suites and renovated bathrooms; an updated food area with cafe seating; and new furnishings and fixtures. New restaurants and shops in Terminal 5 feature celebrity chefs and retail brand names that reflect the cuisine, culture and lifestyle of Los Angeles.

Other Terminal 5 enhancements include new jet bridges; a renovated Sky Priority lobby; an expanded ticketing lobby and four additional security screening checkpoints; and new baggage carousels and international baggage recheck facilities. The $229-million Delta project was completed in partnership with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and the City of Los Angeles and is the latest in the more than $8 billion overhaul of LAX.

InterContinental Hotels Group will debut Hotel Indigo Downtown Los Angeles, a hip 350-room hotel being built at the end of 2016. The 18-story Hotel Indigo will be the flagship hotel at Metropolis, a $1 billion mixed-use development which will feature three residential towers and a curated retail experience. The property will sit at the heart of Downtown L.A., linking the Financial District to of L.A. LIVE. Design for the hotel will be inspired by its surrounding neighborhood and will focus on prominent narratives from Downtown’s past including Fiesta De Las Flores, the glamorous pre-Hollywood nightlife scene and the underground speakeasies of the roaring twenties.
